‘PLEATED’ - PUBLIC LIBRARY SCHIEDAM
The public library of Schiedam (Holland) commissioned me to install 3 curtain seats
By placing the rails in a U-profile I created a reading corner that will be used for children’s reading events.
But also visitors who want to read a book or a magazine in silence can use the curtain seat to have a moment of concentration.
‘Pleated’ (the curtain seat) suits perfectly in the context of a library, where there is need to have places for silence and concentration. ‘Pleated’ creates this in a simple and honest way!
